Norton Properties has acquired a former care home from Stoke based Brighter Futures Housing Association. The property is located a short distance from Stoke City centre and Staffordshire University campus.

Norton intends to obtain planning permission to convert the building to student accommodation in order to capitalise on the influx of students (anticipated to be approximately 3,000) following the closure of the Stafford campus of Staffordshire University in late 2015.  The increase in student numbers in Stoke will have a positive impact on rents and strengthen demand for good quality accommodation.
